Those grenade launcher attachments on your Yugo SKS 59/66
are cool looking but what can you really DO with them? A
lot of the guys here at Surplusrifle.com are removing
them and replacing them with much better looking and
even somewhat functional brakes and flash hiders but
what if you could actually have some fun with the
original muzzle launcher? Bloom Automatic has the answer with its line of big time fun grenade launcher attachments specifically designed to launch Golf Balls from your 22mm flash hider or muzzle launcher. The Bloom Automatic Golf Ball Launcher easily attaches in seconds to your standard Yugo SKS 59/66, AR-15, FAL, CETME/G3, and MAS 49/56. Other rifles with a 22mm flash hider or muzzle brake will work as well. The launcher uses dog point set screws to lock into the groove, or grooves, on the flash hider/grenade launcher. Unlike cup point set screws, these do not bite into the metal and should not cause any marring of the finish. It didn't on mine during testing so I think it's good to go. Complete and well detailed instructions are included with the kit. The BATF & Boom has ruled that these launchers are NOT considered firearms or destructive devices after considerable head scratching on their part. If you have questions please feel free to contact Vince Bloom at bloomautomatic@yahoo.com for more info. A real plus with this kit is that it can be used with any rifle in your collection that is equipped with a 22mm flash hider or launcher, as long as you can find blanks for it. Here is what the kit looks like fresh out of the box. Bloom provides tips and guidelines for proper use in the manual supplied with the Launcher. |

| I selected my favorite 7.62 x 51 NATO FAL for the live fire test for two reasons, it will look cool in the review and I had just ordered 20 boxes of 7.62 x 51 NATO blanks from AIM Surplus to mess around with. At $1.00 for a box of 20 you can have a bunch of fun for pennies. To attach the Bloom Automatic Golf Ball Launcher to my FAL, I had to remove the TAPCO muzzle brake and replace it with the original brake from Century. It was a perfect fit and went on in seconds. It makes a pretty menacing looking add on too. I stuffed it into my Golf bag and headed out to the range. The er.....Driving Range! |

| After switching my gas system to "Grenade" I loaded one of the AIM blanks into the chamber and placed a golf ball in the launcher. Pulling the trigger I was rewarded with a gratifying BANGCHOOOOM and a perfect 150 yard launch off the first tee! This thing is FUN! I handed the FAL to my friend Larry and he too launched a perfect 150 yard drive down the fairway...well OK we were at the Rifle Range not the Links. It was easy to gauge the distance because we were at the 150 yard bench and the ball was landing around the target area. I never did get much more than 150 yards with the blanks I was using, they are not "GRENADE LAUNCHING" blanks but only "Parade" blanks so I think that's pretty excellent. I can only imagine the distance more powerful blanks would yield. Bloom claims distances beyond 500 yards are possible! Try that with your Ping driver! I do believe that's "Crushing it". | I am pretty impressed with the ingenuity of Bloom Automatic and the build quality of the Launcher is excellent. Heavy duty materials used throughout should last a long time and provide tons of fun. If you are looking for a little more from your grenade launcher or flash hider equipped rifle Bloom Automatic has just the ticket all in one package. I give it a big Garand thumbs up and look forward to reading about all the fun you guys are having with yours in the forum soon. |
